Michelle Leedy is an author, copy-editor, proofreader, and has been critiquing stories for over five years. Originally from Ohio, she moved to the UK fourteen years ago. She has been a lifelong lover of books, writing, the Oxford comma, and languages, having studied French, German, Spanish, and Latin.
Previously, she attended the Ohio State University and Salford University in the UK where she studied nursing for a year but was terrified she’d kill someone, so left to homeschool her son. She single-handedly taught him to read, write, and do maths. (He loves maths and hates writing, despite Michelle’s best efforts to achieve the very opposite…but he loves books–win!) She also ran her own soap-making business, but decided to give it up to pursue her dream of becoming an author, helping other writers, and wearing yoga pants all day.
Michelle has completed a BA (Hons) in Humanities with the Open University, specialising in creative writing. She has received a mark of “Distinction” in Advanced Creative Writing, has successfully completed an accredited proofreading course, is an Intermediate Member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders, and is working on a novel.
